Commissioned interactive art installation for Triennale di Design, Milano.

The Baotaz 🧠

BAOTAZ is an immersive experience in which data, relationships and emotions generated by our interconnected lives in the public space take shape in an interactive sculpture. Visitors are invited to feel data enhancing extra senses. BAOTAZ has been displayed for the first time in Milan on 3 and 4 September 2016, at the Expogate spaces as an element of the “Share Knowledge” conference.

The Topic.


How do each of us relate to the inhabitants of an interconnected planet? What is an "increased sense"? How do we develop new "sensitivity" (aesthetics, neuro-psychological, social) related to being interconnected with (potentially) everyone else?
Is the widespread availability of data and information produced by humans in networks using ubiquitous technologies a "common good"?
Are art and transdisciplinarity increasingly found at the center of innovation processes?

These are the main questions that led me to join a group of artists, researchers, designers, architects, philosophers, engineers, physicists, computer scientists, legal scholars and poets from all around. Led by Salvatore Iaconesi and Oriana Persico we crafted an installation exhibited at Triennale Milano.
